I Ran from Him for years, resisting His loving invitation. He was so kind and patient with me.
Me, wanting to live my life my way. Always knowing that it wasn't the right way. I fell into the pleasures of this world.
How and why would I keep running from God? It was easier to do it my way until the only thing left in me was to run to Him.
Empty, I did not want to die in my rebellion.
With a broken spirit and a contrite heart, all I could do was to cry out to Him. Father!
He did not turn me away.
He welcomed me back with tenderness.
Prodigal
His father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.
Can we trust what the Bible says is accurate?
Can we rely on it as an historical document?
For true believers in Christ, this world is not their home. Hell is not their eternal home. Heaven is their eternal home, in the presence of God.
The Dead Sea Scrolls
Discovered in Israel in caves of Qumran near the Dead Sea in 1947. They contain all the books of the Hebrew Bible (The Old Testament), partially or completely, except the book of Esther. The ancient texts date back to 300 BC. They prove the accuracy of the Bible's Old Testament over thousands of years, and thus validate its prophecies about the New Testament events and the coming Messiah Jesus Christ.

He regularly teaches at many academic institutions, is Senior Fellow with the Trinity Forum He studied at the Royal School Armagh, Northern Ireland and was Exhibitioner and Senior Scholar at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University from which he took his MA, MMath and PhD. He worked for many years in the Mathematics Institute at the University of Wales in Cardiff which awarded him a DSc for his research. He also holds an MA and DPhil from Oxford University (by incorporation) and an MA in Bioethics from the University of Surrey. He was a Senior Alexander Von Humboldt Fellow at the Universities of Würzburg and Freiburg in Germany.
Was the Bible written by man alone?
Some think that it was written by men alone. If that is the case, then the Bible should be put on the bookshelf as just another book. If by men alone, then its claims are not to be taken seriously. But what if it was not written by man alone, but by God?
The Bible was written by men who were carried by God's Holy Spirit - similarly how Jesus was led by that same Holy Spirit into the wilderness after His baptism in the Jordan River.
